The Short Story:

The year is 2439. In the Barrier Racing League elite teams compete to race prototype engines, drawing ever closer to breaking the elusive light speed barrier.

Gallea Flynn (Claudia Christian), the famous race-master, has died.   At her funeral, James Ngaio (Matthew Werkmeister) and veteran Barrier champion Dante Lau (Bruce Hopkins) must race to decide who will possess the rights to her ground-breaking cybernetic control system; the next step in light speed technology.

But neither suspect that Gallea has plans that will push them both to their limits, and beyond.

The Production:

The Barrier short film production kicked into gear in April 2009 after a meeting between creator/producer  Sheldon Whittaker, and producers, Morgan Buchanan, and Terry Shepherd.

With access to experienced scifi writers, a professional film crew, and quality actors, we decided that it was time to show the world what Barrier is all about.

Following the release of the teaser trailer, we are set to release the short pilot, on October 20th 2010,  to the web.
