Originally from Connecticut, Claudia grew up as the youngest of four children, with three older brothers ready to pounce with the dreaded noogie at any time, she has grown up to be more than just another actress, but a force of nature.
After finding her love for acting in school theater, Claudia applied herself to the art while taking on modeling jobs. After winning a drama scholarship, she took the plunge into Los Angeles to follow her dream of being in film and television.
She landed her first TV full time series at 18 on NBC’s nighttime drama “Berringers” and then her first feature at 20 playing a male alien trapped in a stripper’s body in the cult hit “The Hidden”.
Over the years Claudia has worked with such acting greats as Morgan Freeman, Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Faye Dunaway, Burt Lancaster, Sharon Stone, Kirk Douglas, Peter Falk, Charlie Sheen, Judd Nelson and Nick Cage amongst many others.
Best known to science fiction fans for her role as Commander Susan Ivanova on the Emmy award winning television series “Babylon 5″, Claudia as also stared starred in the independent Sci Fi comedy series “STAR HYKE”.
Very much the renaissance woman, Claudia divides her time between being an actress, writer, singer, songwriter, director, producer, voice over artist, and chef.
Q. What do you like to do when you aren’t working on a project? What do you like to do in your spare time?
Claudia. I love to read, cook and hike. I also always have a book or two going (that I am writing). I spend some of my free time making little skits for YouTube and I produce and cast and direct and work on lighting DVD’s with David Honl, we’re building an empire though no one knows it yet
I recently volunteered to read to kids at the Children’s hospital in LA and I volunteered for SAG as well for the same thing but neither institution has gotten back to me, I don’t think they know what they’re missing, because man, I really give great book!
Q. How did you first hear about Barrier? and what was your first impression of the project?
Claudia. I heard about it from Sheldon, and I think it’s a really cool idea and it will make a great TV series! Or movie! Or whatever comes to fruition, bottom line, the story is great and the characters are as well.
Q. What other projects are you currently working on?
Claudia. I shot a TV series called LOOK which will be on Showtime early next year. It’s written and directed by Adam Rifkin and is based on his film of the same name. I play a train wreck named Stella.
Q. What are your personal and professional goals for the future?
Claudia. World domination, peace on Earth, healing the planet…you know that sort of thing. Oh, and I’d really, really like to do more comedy.
